Double Crisis Booster Pack

Double Crisis Booster Pack

Return to the classic XY era with the Double Crisis Booster Pack, a special Pokémon TCG release built around the legendary rivalry between Team Aqua and Team Magma. Released in 2015, Double Crisis features a compact 34-card set filled with Pokémon, Trainers, Energy cards, and memorable characters from the Hoenn region.

Team Aqua vs. Team Magma

The heart of Double Crisis is the battle between two iconic villainous teams. Team Aqua and Team Magma each have their own Pokémon, Trainers, and card designs. Many of the Pokémon feature their team’s logo directly on the card, giving this expansion a distinctive look that stands apart from other XY-era releases.

Some of the biggest cards to chase include Team Aqua’s Kyogre-EX and Team Magma’s Groudon-EX. Both are among the standout cards from the set and capture the central rivalry of the expansion. Other notable Pokémon include Team Aqua’s Sharpedo and Walrein, along with Team Magma’s Aggron and Camerupt.

A Unique Vintage Pokémon Release

Double Crisis was not distributed like a standard Pokémon booster set. In English, the packs were originally sold through special Double Crisis blister products rather than traditional booster boxes. Each booster pack contained 7 cards, and every pack included a holo card and a reverse holo card.

That unusual distribution makes sealed Double Crisis packs particularly interesting for vintage Pokémon TCG collectors. The set also includes Team Aqua and Team Magma Supporters, Great Ball cards, Secret Base Stadiums, and unique Double Aqua Energy and Double Magma Energy cards.

A Vintage Hoenn-Era Collectible

Whether you collect vintage Pokémon packs, Team Aqua and Team Magma cards, or classic XY-era products, the Double Crisis Booster Pack offers a great piece of Pokémon TCG history. Its small set size, unique team-themed artwork, and iconic Kyogre-EX and Groudon-EX chase cards give it lasting collector appeal.

Add this sealed Double Crisis Booster Pack to a vintage Pokémon collection and revisit one of the most memorable rivalries from the Hoenn region.
